We
believe this beautifully designed ring was created by Juan De Dios. A flat set turquoise carved hand with a precisely placed coral
below it, for a lovely balance. The silver work is exceptional with tiny
stamped repoussé triangles and tiny silver rain drops on each end. There is
also the C.G. Wallace single letter code scratched onto the back of the ring.
Juan also worked for John Kennedy, mentored Dan Simplicio and is mentioned in
the Adair book (1941). We chose to have this piece converted from a tiny bolo
to a ring. It was so small it got lost around a shirt collar as a bolo. It is stunning as a ring!!
The ring is 1 1/8" long by 1" wide and is a size 7.
The attribution to this unsigned piece comes from design and overall structure
of the ring, along with personal history of some of Juan's rings.
