This unique turquoise ring is handmade, Navajo work. Date of creation 1960's, unsigned. Split shank and smooth bezel settings with "silver raindrops" and fine silver wire work are accomplished beautifully in this piece. The high dome, natural Morenci turquoise stone has beautiful iron pyrite matrix with natural surface texture because to remove that texture would have required the cutter to grind away too much of the precious material. Native Americans find nothing wrong with leaving a portion of the stone's natural surface. The ring is a size 5. The actual top ring measurements (silver & stones) are 1 3/8" long by 1" wide.
