These beautiful hair combs were handcrafted by well-know Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c: (1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in 1930's and worked for a period of time with Frank Patania Sr. in Santa Fe NM. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence at times. His work is highly collectable, as well it should be. Hallmarked under the hair comb and is visible.
This beautiful set has 2 quality Natural turquoise stones. A lovely, flowing silver design with bump outs and fine stamp work adds the final touches to this pair.
They measure 2 7/8" long by 2 1/8" wide.
