Description

These lovely Lapis earrings are the work of Pueblo artist Julian Lovato. c:1925-2018. Julian was born on the Santo Domingo Pueblo in 1925. He began his jewelry career in 1938 and in 1953 became an apprentice of Frank Patania Sr. His work reflects both the traditional austere pueblo design and the modernistic design. He focused on the quality of the materials he used in his jewelry, with top grade Lapis as seen in these earrings.

The beautiful deep blue Lapis stones are surrounded by a beautiful silver design, that enhances the beauty of the stone. Perfect weight, not too heavy.

The earrings measure 1 3/16" tall by 1" wide. Hallmarked J. Lovato and Patania's thunderbird. They are strong clip-ons but can be converted to posts upon request.
