A amazing and rare bracelet by famous Zuni artist John Gordon Leak. His work was prominently featured in the 1975 Sotheby's auction of the C.G. Wallace collection. John Gordon Leaks was most well-known for his knifewing and dragonfly images. This lovely bracelet is a perfect example of his work. The central inlaid image is set with a black jet background, with the knifewing of Mother of Pearl, spiny oyster, and turquoise, with two beautiful cast side elements on a tri-shank with reinforced terminals.
The top width of the central inlaid element measures 1 5/8" by 1 1/2" diameter. The inside measures 5 1/2" with a 1" opening. See Artist biographies on Home page.
