Description

This beautifully crafted channel inlaid Zuni Antelope necklace is set with all-natural Morenci turquoise. Each figure has a raised and carved collar and center V. The detail throughout this necklace is a wonderful example of the amazing work by an unknown Zuni artist. The necklace is from the earlier era, when trader C.G. Wallace was in Zuni working with the artists. Those artists that come to mind were Lambert Homer, Teddy Weahkee, Frank Dishta, Dan Simplicio, Red Leakala with the silver components and lapidary craftsmanship. This piece is not hallmarked, which was common on many of the early pieces. Certainly one of a kind. This necklace is stunning on!

The bottom portion measures 3" tall by 1 7/8" wide, with the 4 other figures gradually getting smaller. The top 2 figures measure 1 1/2" by 7/8" wide. The total length of the necklace including the bottom Antelope is 31" long. The necklace can be adjusted to different lengths with the silver chain.
