This gorgeous necklace is the work of Pueblo artist Julian Lovato. (c:1925-2018). Julian was born on the Santo Domingo Pueblo in 1925. He began his jewelry career in 1938 and in 1948 became an apprentice of Frank Patania Sr. His work reflects both the traditional austere pueblo design and the modernistic design. He focused on the quality of the materials he used in his jewelry, with top grade coral and turquoise as his centerpiece.

The beautiful deep tomato red coral and vivid blue turquoise is surrounded by a perfectly graduated silver design, that enhances the beauty of the colors and the overall look. It is strung on his hand fabricated silver tube necklace. It sits perfect on the neckline!

The bottom center portion measures 1 7/8"tall by 1 1/4" wide. The other portions gradually get smaller, with the top measuring 1 1/2" by 7/8". The total length is 20 1/4" long. Hallmarked J. Lovato, IHM, Patania's thunderbird and sterling.
