Description

Hopi artist Ramon A. Dalangyawma, created this wonderful shadow box overlay design, featuring a Coyote and moon in the center. Heavy silver is used in his pieces. Ramon is from the village of Hotevilla and has been an active silversmith at the Hopi Pueblo from 1978. He learned his craft at the Hopi Crafts. A wonderful Bear design with very precise workmanship.

The bolo measures 2" by 1 3/8". The hand-crafted heavy tips are 2 1/2". The thick braided deep chocolate brown leather is 42" total length, including tips. Hallmark with his last name.

This bolo is one of many collected over years by a Physician/professor that wore his bolos every day to his classroom and lectures. Many have small stickers showing the date he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
