This rare Kickapoo Thunderbird pin has a wonderful design. It is a vintage jewelry piece from the historic Native American Kickapoo tribe that originally extended from the Canadian border into Texas and today resides in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The bird design was chosen by the Kik-a-poo people. It is hallmark "Kik-a-poo" which is one of several spellings that have evolved throughout the centuries.

The pin has an aged Blue Gem turquoise stone. It measures 1 ¼” tall by 3 ½” wide. It would look great on a hat, purse or anywhere it can fly!

Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected as an antique jewelry genre valued for its Southwest look and historic context.
