This gorgeous Carlos White Eagle (1937-2013) inlaid Butterfly gives a glimpse into the amazing talents of this artist. The butterfly wings incorporate materials of raised black jet, green snail shell, turquoise and coral. The green snail shell is chatoyant and shows rainbow colors from different angles. A fine detailed body of solid 14k gold, with the use of two .20ct. diamonds at the tips of the gold antennas. Hallmarked with much detail. Inlay Butterflie (Butterfly) by Carlos White Eagle, 77 and traders code. A protective security hologram is also placed on the back. A stunning piece to add to any collection.
Carlos was active from the 1950s - 2013. He was Apache and respected as a Master jeweler. He owned and operated White Eagle Gallery, in Clairmont, CA. He made jewelry for some of the rich and famous across this country, from President Eisenhower, President Roosevelt's family to Elvis Presley and Cher.
It measures 3 1/8" tall by 3 1/4" wide, with solid 14K gold bezels, body, antennas and base.
