This is a particularly fine bracelet from the early days of the Santa Fe Railroad, Fred Harvey Hotel and Trading Post period. Made in the 1940’s to be sold to travelers on the new highway or rail system running through the Southwest. Shops that produced multiple pieces of the familiar split shank design employed local Native American artists to complete the work. Each artisan was encouraged to use his or her own designs to create a large variety in which to choose from.

This lovely coin silver 1940's bracelet features tiny Blue Gem turquoise stones for the heads of the snake. Nice hand stamp work graces the sides terminals. The overall integrity of the bracelet is excellent. This bracelet has the stamp INDIAN MADE and COIN SILVER.

The top width is 1/4" wide at center. The interior of the cuff measuring 5 1/2" with an opening gap of 1". This would be a perfect addition to any Fred Harvey Era collection and would also make a great everyday bracelet. The best thing about this bracelet, is it can be worn with the snake heads up on the wrist or down under the wrist.
