A amazing bracelet by well-known Zuni artist John Gordon (Leak) Leekity, with the addition of the silver work being that of Austin Wilson. His work was prominently featured in the 1975 Sotheby's auction of the C.G. Wallace collection. John Gordon Leak was well-known for his mosaic inlaid knifewings, arrows and dragonfly images.

This lovely bracelet is a perfect example of his work. The central inlaid image is set with a black jet background, with the knifewing of Mother of Pearl, spiny oyster, and turquoise, with a beautiful rain drop frame and side panels on the tri-shank. A beautiful smooth patina graces the entire bracelet. Not hallmarked, but no doubt the work of JGL.

The top width of the bracelet measures 1 7/8" wide. The inside measures 5 1/4" with a 1" opening. See Artist biographies on Home page.
