This beautiful Hopi bolo dates back many decades. It's maker was Hopi artist McBride Lomayestewa (1932-2002), who began producing jewelry in the mid 1950's at the Hopi Guild. He along with Fred Kabotie and Mark Lomayestewa influenced renowned Hopi artist Michael Kabotie and others early on, in the use of the overlay technique. McBride's work had brought him many awards at the Museum of Northern Arizona and also Indian Market. His work is also featured in many publications.

The bolo has a nice aged patina and looks wonderful on! It measures 1 1/2" wide by 1 3/9" tall. The tips are 2" long, with the length of the leather and tips at 18" long. Hallmarked with the Hopi Silvercraft Guild and lighting symbol.
