Rare Amos Edaakie Pooacha inlaid Buffalo Dancer bolo. Little is known on the history of him or when he began making jewelry. Putting together the history of the Edaakie families in Zuni, we have placed this wonderful bolo having been made in the 1950's.
Amos has a mix of channel inlay and mosaic inlay. Beautifully done and very well crafted. The silver work is also very nice. Some of the materials used are seldom seen in this style of bolos. The use of dark red/brown pipe stone is beautiful in this piece, along with jet, coral, turquoise, clam shell, MOP and brown shell. The bolo has some weight of 148 grams. It is a striking piece on! It measures, 5 1/4" tall x 3 3/8" wide. The beautiful matching tips measure 2" by 1 1/8" on 2" silver cone tips. The total length including tips is 40" long.
