This lovely single strand necklace features 18 beautifully carved bears, by well-known Zuni carver Andrew Quam Sr. Circa: Early 1970's. Beautiful serpentine bears with heishi and small hand shaped turquoise beads makes this lovely, necklace quite pretty. Andrew was a master Zuni fetish carver that was active for a short period into the 1970s. Purchased in 1974 at Mesa Verde Trading Post.

The necklace is strung with hand crafted Santa Domingo shell heishi and turquoise beads. The total length is 27 1/2" long, including the silver findings. The bears measure from 5/8" up to 3/4". Just beautiful on!
