Joe Herrera Quintana (1915-1991) is considered by many to be one of the true master silversmiths of the 20^th century. Learning metal work during WWII, after the war he returned to his home in the Cochiti Pueblo and began his career in jewelry making. He apprenticed with well-known jeweler Frank Patania and worked in a number of shops in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM.

This stunning squash blossom necklace is the perfect size for either a man or woman. A beautiful satin patina graces the entire piece with a heavy silver weight of 199 grams. The Naja with bail measures 3" long x 2 3/4" wide. The 22 blossoms are 2" long and are strung with beautifully finished beads. Total length is 22 1/2" long. Hallmarked with J H Q, with the thin H. Absolutely beautiful on!!
