Vernon Haskie is an accomplished Navajo jeweler from Lukachukai, Arizona. Vernon is an amazing jeweler who learned silver-smithing, at a young age from his father, artist Leonard Haskie. Having won many top awards, Vernon's jewelry is sought after by galleries, museums and private collectors worldwide.Masterfully crafted this beautiful bolo has layers of detailed silver work. Hand fabricated by Master artist Vernon Haskie. This lovely piece features a beautiful webbed natural turquoise stone, that sits on a raised silver center and then surrounded by precise silver overlay. A beautiful blending of silver designs, with an added 1/4" bear and mesa overlay design on the outer side edge adds the final touch to this great bolo. Also matching overlay bolo tips. Hallmarked VH. The bolo measures 3" tall by 2 wide, with 2 3/8" tips. Total length is 41" including tips.This bolo is one of many collected over years by a Physician/professor that wore his bolos every day to his classroom and lectures. Many have small stickers showing the date he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
