Ornate silver design and carved turquoise stones show the early work of Teddy Weahkee. Teddy was widely respected as one of the most important, early Navajo silversmiths. He was a master jeweler (Zuni c: 1890's to 1965) and worked closely with Trader C.G. Wallace. This beautiful classic 1931 squash necklace offers the best of his work. Beautifully carved Herget turquoise stones, in soft shades of greenish/blue, with the fine detailed stamp work of the silver makes this a stunning neck piece.

This beautiful necklace is not small. With the Naja measuring 3 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide. The entire length measures 28" long. The necklace also has the scratched C.G. Wallace code on the top, back portion of the Naja and original writing from the auction (partly missing) on the bottom, back of the Naja.
