Description

Victor Coochwytewa was one of three Native American elders chosen as Arizona Indian Living Treasures at the seventh annual AILTA award ceremony held in Phoenix in September 1994. This recognition is but one of the many accolades bestowed upon the Master Hopi Jeweler in a career spanning more than half a century. Decorated World War II Veteran (1922-2011). Victor retired from Hopi Silversmithing and his beloved farming in 2006. He continued living with his family at Hopi. Victor passed away at the age of 89 on July 3, 2011. An accomplished master Hopi jeweler and a humble man. Victor's work is not only amazing but highly collectable.

This lovely squash blossom features 11 gorgeous, aged webbed turquoise, in a beautiful array of deep greens. The lovely silver overlaid naja adds the final touch to this necklace. There is a beautiful soft patina on the entire piece. Hallmarked with Victor's (Rain Cloud) and his Hopi Silvercraft Guild mark. It is absolutely beautiful on!!

The center stone is 1" by 3/4". The naja is 2 1/2" by 2 1/2". The necklace measures 24" long, not including the naja.
