This beautifully crafted bracelet is Navajo work. C: 1960's. The bracelet is set with beautiful natural Bisbee turquoise stones. This bracelet has some of the finest silver work seen from this era. A soft patina graces the entire bracelet, making the silver work stand out along with the stones.
This lovely bracelet comes from a family collection, with personal connections to the Navajo - Hopi TP on Rte. 66 in Flagstaff AZ (owners), Gallup NM Mercantile, Dean Kirk TP in Manuelito NM and Tobe Turpen's TP in Gallup, NM. There is etching on the back side from the previous owner for identification. Not hallmarked which was common during this era, but the precise workmanship shows a master artist.
The top of the bracelet center measures 1 1/4" wide, tapering to 3/4" on end terminals. The inside measurement is 5 3/8" with a 1 1/8" opening. Has a nice heavy weight.
