This beautiful inlaid bird figure is Zuni work. Set with materials of turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl and abalone shell. It lends itself to the precise stone and silver work of Zuni artist Frank Vacit. Whomever did this lovely piece, was a seasoned jeweler. A soft patina graces the entire piece.
The center component measures 2 1/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. The smaller components are 1 3/8" by 1 1/8". The total length with the handmade chain is 16". Not hallmarked which was common during this era.
