This stunning butterfly pin was most certainly crafted by Zuni artist Lee Edaakie. Both Lee and his brother Theodore worked for Trader C.G. Wallace in Zuni, NM between the 1930's into the 1940's. Lee became a master in both inlay and cluster work and passed on his knowledge to many members of his family. To this day the Edaakie family continues to craft beautiful Zuni jewelry.

Set with absolutely gorgeous, Gem Quality Blue Gem turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl and abalone shell. This butterfly offers the best of Lee Edaakie's mosaic inlay work. A deep rainbow patina graces the back of the piece. The pin measures 2 1/8" long by 2 3/4" wide. Not hallmark, which was common with many of this early era artists. We offer conversion pins, for use as a pendant.
