This is a pretty bracelet from the early days of the Santa Fe Railroad, Fred Harvey Hotel and Trading Post period. Made from 1909 into the 30's to be sold to travelers on the new highway or rail system running through the Southwest. Shops that produced multiple pieces of the familiar heavily machined stamped designs, employed local Native American artists to complete the work by setting stones and applying pre-stamped out ornaments. Each artisan was encouraged to use his or her own design patterns to create a large variety in which to choose from. Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected as an antique jewelry genre valued for its Southwest look and historic context.

This lovely 1909/1930's bracelet features a lighter greenish Cerrillos turquoise stone. This piece is aged with a wonderful deep patina. The overall integrity of the bracelet is good condition but has some surface crazing on the stone and a tiny pit in the top right corner. Not visable to the naked eye. Stamped Sterling. The top width (stones & silver) is 1 1/8" wide tapering to 1/4" at the bottom terminals. The interior of the cuff measuring 5 7/16" with an opening gap of 1". Slightly adjustable.
