This wonderful bolo is Zuni inlay work by an unknown artist. The silver work is by Tom Weahkee. Tom often did the silver work for different inlay artist in Zuni. The Ram design is set in a MOP background, with beautiful orange and white spiny oyster shell and jet material. The horns have been carved and the body is raised just slightly. The silver sork features beautiful stamped feathers, with a rolled and filed top and bottom frame. Quite lovely. A nice heavy weight adds to this really pretty bolo. Not hallmarked, which was common during this era.
This bolo measures 2 3/4" long by 2 1/4" wide. The bolo and hand crafted tips have a nice smooth patina from age. The black leather is 38" long, including the 2 1/8" tips.
