This beautifully crafted Ram buckle is Hopi work. It has extra detail with the bold design on the edge, which is not common on most Hopi buckles. The workmanship is spectacular, lending itself to a seasoned artist. It also has an unusual mark on the back. No artist hallmark, but words etched on the back. CHICK 1976 and then Sterling Silver. Could be gifted to someone by the artist at this time and custom made or simply an owner marking it?

This is a wonderful overlay buckle, depicting a Ram head. It measures 2 1/2 " long by 3" tall. Will fit a 1 1/2" belt. It is quite heavy 107.5 grams.
