This wonderful Gambel Quail necklace was crafted by well-know Zuni artists Leonard and Alberta Lonjose. Leonard and Alberta did both inlay and Zuni cluster work. They often combined both styles of design in their pieces.

This lovely necklace contains materials of Sleeping Beauty turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl, coral and shell. This necklace offers the best of their combined work, of fine detailed inlay with beautiful turquoise and stamped silver frames. A very nice hand crafted link silver chain adds the final touch to the amazing necklace.

The center quail measures 2 1/4" long by 1 7/8" wide. Each of the 2 smaller quail measure 1 7/8" long by 1 5/8" wide. The total length is 32". Hallmarked, Leonard & Alberta Lonjose. Leonard is featured in the book, ZUNI THE ART AND THE PEOPLE, Vol. 1.
