This stunningly beautiful bracelet was handcrafted by well-known Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c:(1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in 1930's and worked for a period of time with Frank Patania Sr. in Santa Fe NM. He learned from his teacher Ambrose Roanhorse. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence at times. His work is highly collectable, as well it should be. Hallmarked with his L.L. Snake. The lovely, designed bracelet has two rows of clam shell and turquoise heishi, sitting on the outer rim, with a small and very large twist wire centered design. A soft patina graces the silver with amazingly designed end terminals that secure everything in place. This is a heavy bracelet but feels wonderful on. The bracelet measures 1" wide at the center, tapering to 3/4" at end terminals. The inside measures 5 3/4" with a 1 1/8" opening. 136 grams.
