This lovely Morenci turquoise buckle was hand-crafted by Zuni artist Alice Leekya Homer. Active: mid to late 20th century. The stones are slightly raised channel inlay, with what is called a fish scale design. Alice and family were well-known for this style of inlay. Alice was the daughter of Leekya Deyuse. The workmanship is perfect on this piece and the turquoise is beautiful! A very pretty buckle that looks lovely on. Not Hallmarked, as her early pieces were not hallmarked. But comes with strong attribution.

The buckle measure, 1 1/4" tall by 3 1/8" long. Will take a 1 1/8" belt.
