This lovely single strand necklace features 18 beautifully carved bears, by well-known Zuni carver Andrew Quam Sr. Circa: Early 1970's. Beautiful serpentine bears with heishi and small hand shaped turquoise beads makes this lovely, necklace quite pretty. Andrew was a master Zuni fetish carver that was active for a short period into the 1970s. Purchased in 1974 at Mesa Verde Trading Post.

The necklace is strung with hand crafted Santa Domingo shell heishi and turquoise beads. The total length is 27 1/2" long, including the silver findings. The bears measure from 5/8" up to 3/4". Just beautiful on!
