This lovely, designed bolo has mosaic inlay work and was created by Navajo artist Gilbert Nelson. The workmanship is excellent with precise inlay. A beautifully design silver frame adds the final tough to this bolo. Hallmarked Gilbert Nelson.
The bolo measures 2" tall by 1 1/2" wide with 2 1/2" tips. The black braided leather with tips total length is 45" long.
This bolo is one of many collected over years by a Physician/professor that wore his bolos every day to his classroom and lectures. Many have small stickers showing the date he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
