Zuni artist Andrew Dewa was active from1960's until his death in 2001. He was best known for his figural mosaic inlay and his sun-face motif. This beautifully made Zuni necklace is set with turquoise, carved jet, carved Mother of Pearl, coral and yellow lip shell. The detail throughout this necklace is a wonderful example of one of Zuni's most talented artists. Hallmarked. A DEWA ZUNI.
The bottom portion measures 1 7/8" diameter with other feather and sunface portions measuring 1 1/8" by 5/8" wide. The total length of the necklace including the bottom sunface is 22" long. Note: white areas on the sunface are light reflection from camera.
