This is one of the finest Zuni inlaid belt buckle we have seen, featuring an inlaid horse head figure. Elizabeth & Celestine created beautiful inlay with such fine details, unique silver work and etching or carving of the mane and body of this horse. The silver work is also quite special, with the main part of the buckle being raised above the lovely, stamped frame. Quite heavy. Turquoise, Mother of Pearl and Jet make up the precise inlaid in this wonderful buckle.
The buckle measures 3 1/2" long by 2 7/16" tall and will fit a 1 7/8 - 2" belt. No signature on this piece, but a master Zuni artist took time to create this wonderful buckle.
