This beautiful Vintage hand fabricated necklace is Zuni channel inlay work. It has a C.G. Wallace traders code etched on the back which dates it.

It is a statement necklace with beautifully aged natural raised turquoise, inlaid in a turtle design, with matching earrings. 12 graduated turtles make up the necklace. Very fine detailed stamp work on the silver portion surrounding each turtle. Even the feet, tail and tiny fluted drops are stamped. Very fine work!! Heavier gauge silver was used on the handcrafted 6mm beads and time was taken to smooth them out to a beautiful finish. The Naja has 7 beautiful oval stone with a larger turtle in the center adding the final touches to this lovely necklace.

This necklace and earrings date to the late 40’s into the 50’s and does not have a maker's mark--being of a time when such things were not commonly done. The overall condition is excellent.

The Naja measures 3 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide. The necklace measures 16" long on each side, including the Naja. Earrings are ¾” by 1”, on silver French wires. They were converted from screw backs at some point along the way.
