Description

During the 1970's with the excitement at it's peak for Native American art, few Zuni carvers were selling their carving, but rather keeping them in the Zuni village for personal use. The Navajo carvers at this time filled a need for such art and continue today carving beautiful fetishes. As a form of contemporary Native American art, they are sold with non-religious intentions to collectors worldwide.
This beautifully carved bear with a inlaid heart-line was handcrafted by Linda Livingston, Navajo and measures 3 1/2" long by 2" tall by 3/4" wide. The material used is Colorado Alabaster.
