These
lovely inlaid earring are Zuni channel work. Set with the most beautiful yellow/rainbow snail shell. The fine set inlay work, represents a very seasoned silversmith that took care when doing this work.
The earrings measures 1 5/8" long, with the top portion being 1/2" by 1/2'. These earrings have sterling screw backs.
Zuni jewelry both inlay and cluster work, are obviously some
of the most difficult to create. Along with this work being very time
consuming, the artist must master not only silversmithing, buy lapidary (stone
cutting). Our respect for the many Zuni artist goes without question, as they
are truly a gifted people.
