Channel inlay silver work is known for it's smoothness and luster. The artisan, using a silver base first creates raised silver channels, also called bezels, to divide the chosen pattern into tiny compartments. Then taking into account the compartment shapes and bezel depth, he painstakingly shapes each stone into a perfect fit. After placing each stone in it's bezel a final polish completes the piece.
These earrings measure 1" round and have clip on backs. Each piece is marked with initals RHC, Zuni silversmith Harlan Coonsis.
