This stunning Blue Gem turquoise bolo was hand fabricated by Navajo artist Wilson Padilla. The outstanding silver work is the perfect framing for these amazing top grade, natural Blue Gem stones. Both stones are a contoured cut, following the natural shape of the stone. The silver tips were hand fabricated also. A soft aged patina graces the back and front of the piece. The bolo is not hallmarked which was common during this era. There is written indications from the collector as to the maker and materials in this bolo. The turquoise is much prettier in person than my picture shows!

It measures 3 1/2" long by 2 3/8" wide. The tip length is 2 1/2". The total length is 41", including tips.

This bolo is one of many collected over 5 decades by a Physician/professor that wore his bolos every day to his classroom and lectures. Many have small stickers showing the date he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
