Masterfully crafted this beautiful earring pair was hand crafted by well-known Zuni artist John Gordon (Leak) Leekity. His work was prominently featured in the 1975 Sotheby's auction of the C.G. Wallace collection. John Gordon Leak was well-known for his mosaic inlaid knifewings, arrows and dragonfly images. This lovely earring pair of his arrow design is a perfect example of his exquisite work. The central images are set with in a black jet background, with the arrows of Mother of Pearl, spiny oyster and turquoise. Beautiful silver frame work graces the center design.
The earrings are screw back and measure 7/8" long by 5/8" wide. Can be converted to posts. See Artist biographies on Home page.
