This brightly colored pendant is hand crafted Zuni work. The piece is set with beautiful natural, rare Villa Grove turquoise, orange abalone shell, Mother of Pearl and jet. The use of wood filler, often used in filling small gaps between the silver and stone, helps age the piece. The silver work is a bit crude, but the use of materials and design are quite beautiful. A heavy hand crafted silver chain accompanies the pendant. A deep aged patina graces the back of the pendant. The pendant measures 2" in diameter, with the chain being 22" long. Not hallmark, which was common during this early time period in jewelry making.
