This wonderful realistic fish bolo was created by Zuni artist Nicholas Leekela (Active:1950-?). Inlay work of top grade rainbow Abalone Shell, black jet and a turquoise eye. This beautiful fish dazels the eyes, with the silver dorsal, pectoral fins and wide tail. The work is very well done and the overall look is just a very real looking fish.
The fish measure 2 1/2" tall by 2 3/8" wide, with 2" handcrafted silver bolo tips. The braided black leather cord is 19" long, each side. Not hallmarked, which was common on early Zuni pieces.
