This beautifully inlaid Shalako bolo was crafted by renowned Zuni artist Leo Poblano. This lovely Shalako sets in a beautiful silver shadow-bow. This Shalako figure offers the precise work of Poblano's mosaic designs. The beautiful silver frame and hand stamped silver tips adds the final touches to this bolo. Not hallmarked, as he did not hallmark his work, but there is old visible writing stating Leo Poblano circa 1960's with trader numbers. Leo passed away in 1959, so the silver work had to have been done later, using the Shalako Leo made from an earlier piece.

The bolo measures 3 1/2" long by 2 1/8" wide. Black braided leather with tips measure 36" long, total length. See Artist Biographies on Home Page.
