This tiny hand-wrought, silver mini–Ranger Buckle hat band is hallmarked HAND MADE BY INDIANS and SOLID SILVER, dating it to the 1930's, pre-WWII. Beautiful silver design and stamp work. Overall, a wonderful piece of history!

Garden of the Gods trading Post (Shop). Operating since 1929 adjacent to Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado. Silver, copper, aluminum; jewelry and decorative items. Garden of the Gods Trading Post was owned by Charles and Esther Strausenback. San Ildefonso artist Awa Tsireh worked here from about 1930 to the late 1940s. The Messier family has a new book out on the history of Garden of the Gods. It is a beautifully done book, and well worth the investment.
