This stunning pendant is the work of Pueblo artist Julian Lovato. c:1925-2018. Julian was born on the Santo Domingo Pueblo in 1925. He began his jewelry career in 1938 and in 1948 became an apprentice of Frank Patania Sr. His work reflects both the traditional austere pueblo design and the modernistic design. He focused on the quality of the materials he used in his jewelry, with top grade coral and turquoise as his centerpiece.

The beautiful Bisbee turquoise stone is surrounded by a beautiful silver design, that enhances the beauty of the stone. A heavy hand-crafted silver chain allows for adjusted lengths. There is a substantial weight on this lovely pendant. The bail is large, so that the pendant can be worn with beads, turquoise heishi or coral strands.

The pendant measures 2 7/8" tall by 1 3/4" at the widest point. Hallmarked J. Lovato, IHM, Patania's thunderbird and sterling.
