This beautiful 1960's Navajo concho belt was hand cast by well known silversmith Wilson Begay. Wilson often collaborated with wife Carol. Their work is featured in both Schiffer and Wright publications. This sand cast wagon wheel design is set with beautiful Natural and rare Ajax turquoise cabs, that are set in hand cut bezels and surrounded with twist wire. Each concho is deeply hand stamped and measures 3" long by 2 1/2" wide. The concho's have a great patina from age, having been stored in a private collection for many years. The cabs measure approx. 1/2" by 3/8". The buckle measures the same as the concho's. The piece is signed with Wilson's hallmark and initials. A very collectible belt, having both artist and stone value.
