This beautifully crafted squash blossom necklace is hand fabricated Zuni work. It is set with 528 very small, hand cut natural (high grade) turquoise stones that are securely set in tiny saw tooth bezels. Tiny silver rain drop surround each cluster of stones and frame the outer and inner edge of the Naja. Nicely hand crafted, heavy beads add the final touch to this gorgeous necklace.

This necklace dated to the 1940's and does not have a maker's mark--being of a time when such things were not commonly done. The time and patience needed for the fine workmanship of this style of work by Zuni artists is to be admired and respected. The stones and overall condition are excellent.

The Naja measures 2 7/8" wide by 3 7/8" long. The necklace measures 27 1/2" long.
