Description

Acoma owl figures have been a favorite of collectors since they were created. During the 1880's, the railroad caused a major change in the pottery marked, with smaller more manageable pieces being made for travel. This wonderful owl was hand created from native clay and is traditional white slip, decorated in red and black.

Many of these wonderful owls were crafted over many decades and many have been destroyed. An inexpensive pieces of history with a story all it own. The condition is quite good, with no cracks in the walls and just a few tiny chips. Not hallmarked.
This wonderful owl measures 2 3/8"tall by 2" wide.
