This lovely pendant/pin was hand crafted by premier Hopi artist Phillip Honanie. He began his career in jewelry in the late 1960's. He is considered one of the finest Hopi silversmiths, with his work being highly collectable. A member of the bear clan, his hallmark is the Hopi sign for friendship, a pair of crescents. He resided in the second Mesa village of Shungopovi, but lost his battle with diabetes in 2017.

A soft matt finish on the silver stamped background with 11 hummingbirds of 14k gold, grace the entire pendant. A simply elegant design. It measures 2 7/8". The piece has his personal hallmark and 14k, as well as the Kopavi hallmark. Phillip work for Kopavi for a period of time during his career.
