This lovely bracelet was handcrafted by premier Hopi artist Phillip Honanie. He began his career in jewelry in the late 1960's. He is considered one of the finest Hopi silversmiths, with his work being highly collectable. A member of the bear clan, his hallmark is the Hopi sign for friendship, a pair of crescents. He resided in the second Mesa village of Shungopovi, but lost his battle with diabetes in 2017.

This is a wonderful bracelet is depicting a snake type figure called an Avanyu Serpent and wonderful mudheads on both sides. It measures 2" wide. Inside measures 5 7/8" with a 1 1/4" opening. The piece has his personal hallmark, as well as a personal etching from the previous giver/owner. Given with love in 9-5-72.
