This wonderful small bolo of sterling overlay was hand crafted by well-know Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c:(1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in 1930's and worked for a period of time with Frank Patania in Santa Fe NM. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence at times. His work is highly collectable. The bolo has a wonderful satin finish and great design.
The bolo measures 1 7/16" by 1 3/16" with 1 1/4" sterling tip. The black braided leather is 17" long. Hallmark with his L inside a sun.
