Description

High grade Morenci turquoise set in textured cast sterling silver by Navajo artist, Darryl Dean Begay. This reversable pendant features a hummingbird on one side and a gem quality Morenci turquoise stone on the opposite side. The pendant measures 1 1/2" long including bail by 1" wide. Just an outstanding one-of-a-kind pendant!
Born on the Navajo Reservation, Darryl Dean Begay was raised in the traditional Navajo way of life. He is from a family of artists; his grandmother was a weaver and his grandfather a ceremonial sandpainter. It is from this background that his art emerges, creating one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry in sterling silver and gold.

He has exhibited his work and won awards at many shows, including the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Market, Pueblo Grande Indian Market, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Eight Northern Pueblos Show.
